Vesterra SA was created in 1976 in Zug Switzerland under the name of Calinda AG with the primary purpose of acting as an investment holding company. In 2002, Robert Eilers, current president & CEO took over sole control of Calinda AG and moved the company’s headquarters to Zurich, Switzerland. At the same time, the company’s name was changed to Vesterra SA and the focus changed from purely domestic activities to international activities.
This has resulted in tremendous growth of the company from its humble Swiss-only activities to an international conglomerate with activities in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Ukraine and Canada focusing on investments in commercial and residential real estate, agriculture, energy, financial services and corporate consulting services. The company recently started a strong push into the North America market focusing primarily on gaining a foothold in Ontario before expanding to the rest of Canada and the United States. |
